What are the factors that most impact the growth of HPI?
I think the economic climate will have a biggest impact on the growth of HPI. That, coupled with our ability to choose the right business areas and regions to develop properties will contribute towards our progress. Of course, providing exceptional customer service will help in the mix as well.
Which is the best vacation you’ve ever had in your life?
Going to Maui was probably the best vacation I ever had. It was hard to get back on the plane to come home. My only regret was not staying longer.
Name a person who has had a tremendous impact on your life.
A former boss of mine, Bill Johnson, had a tremendous impact on my life. I worked for him for 11 years. During that time, he mentored me, gave me a ton of responsibility at a very young age, and basically got out of my way. I would not have advanced in my career without his guidance.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I like to stay as active as I can. I try to get to the gym at least 5 times a week. I like to play racquetball and tennis, bike, lift weights, and play golf when time permits.
