Please name a person who has had a tremendous impact on your life and explain why and how he/she affected you the way he/she did.
My mother, Barb Simmons. She inspired my passion for commercial real estate and helped shape many of the relationships within the field. She’s hardworking and relentless yet selfless and kind; She’s what I strive to be. She is an all-around inspiration for me and many others. Her impact on my life has been monumental and has set me up for tremendous success. Thanks, Mom.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
My spare time is spent with my dogs; If not training or competing in various dog sports such as flyball or whippet racing, we are hiking new trails (often getting lost) or just spending time curled up on the couch. My dogs are the most important aspect of my life, so spending time with them gives me a sense of enjoyment, satisfaction, and security.
Which is the best vacation you’ve ever had in your life?
When I was 17 years old, I had the opportunity to compete in the inaugural flyball World Cup in France. I went with 9 other friends, spent the week in the French countryside, and ultimately competed in the world cup with 6 of our dogs. That was my first time in Europe, and to say the trip was a blast would be an understatement. We traveled to local towns, ate great food, made amazing friends, and ultimately won the World Cup, competing against 17 other countries. It was an extraordinary experience. On top of that, we set a flyball world record!
