What do you like about the corporate culture of HPI?
I like that I have been encouraged to take ownership in what I do. Many of my coworkers have been with the company for so long that they know everything about Heritage and how we do business. They have really tried to teach me everything they know, but when I have an idea they have all been willing to try it. It’s great to me that everyone has an attitude of ‘maybe this is better’, it helps us be our best.
Describe the best vacation you’ve ever had in your life.
In 2014 my husband and I backpacked from Istanbul to Rome to Geneva to Paris to London and finally to Reykjavik. We each had half a backpack, a camera, and nothing else- not even our cell phones. We met so many amazing people staying in hostels along the way, had some of the best food ever, and took some amazing pictures. Now I just have the rest of the world to still to see.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I love to take my camera out and just take pictures. Sometimes I only have a few minutes, so I just shoot the flowers beside my house at sunset. Other times I love to spend the whole day trying to get the perfect photography. My camera has taught me that there is beauty in everything, you just have to look for it.
