What is the smallest change we have made at HPI that has had the biggest positive result?
I believe expanding the usage of PDF files in our office has had the largest positive effect on Heritage Properties. We acquired this Adobe software in order to optimize efficiency in a variety of ways such as preparing monthly financial statements, compiling annual tax workpapers, and performing day-to-day tasks. Tasks that used to take hours now take minutes to perform. I believe this method will pay dividends in years to come by saving money and time.
Which is the best vacation you’ve ever had in your life?
I was fortunate enough to be able to go to the Bahamas for my honeymoon in August of 2016. It was a beautiful country with lots of new things to see. Beaches were perfect, the food was phenomenal, and the local people were very welcoming. I am hopeful that one day I can go back and see it all again.
What do you like about the corporate culture of HPI?
The thing I like most about the corporate culture here at Heritage Properties is that I feel appreciated for the work I do. Simple appreciation of my work goes a long way. My coworkers make me feel welcome and that makes Heritage a fun place to come into work every day. People are very friendly and we do various events throughout the year to mix things up. This type of environment keeps me excited about my job and always looking forward to something later in the year.
